Here is my blog: http://acid-reflux-tips.blogspot.com/
(it talks about acid reflux, heartburn, GERD and some digestive problems)
So far I've written about 20 unique contents, along with 24 heartburn-free PLR recipes.
What I do today - Promotion/Link building Section:
- submit my blog to http://www.blogcatalog.com/
- add my blog to Google Analytics, but it needs 24 to 48 hours to receive my blog's data
- add my newsletter autoresponder (aweber), many people told me email-marketing works, but personally I never bought anything from email ads.
- add the affiliate products, refluxamine. I tried this before because I am really a patient of heartburn, it helped, but honestly the price is too high. You can buy the similar product at half price over-the-counter. But hard to find good product in this niche, I would just see how it goes.
- register for all the social bookmarking site at onlywire, it wasted me more than an hour. So many things to do in day one :(
- start submitting my blog to the free directories with PR, here are some free one way links I found it in one of the DP member's thread. hmm...at least 200 directories, does anyone know any manual-submitting services, I don't mind a little investment. I search Google, and it costs $100 for 150 directories, too expensive I think I should do it myself, maybe 4 to 6 directories a day.
- I use Wordtracker/Google keyword Trends to determine keywords for my content. Here is a problem that I always face, especially I am doing health-related topic. For example, "acid reflux symptoms" has 100 counts/day with 115,000 results in Google(with quotes), but "acid reflux symptom" (without the 's') also has 100 counts/day with only 16,300 results. I always fall in the wordtracker's trap and write a post about "acid reflux symptom". However, it never appeared in good ranking because I found out that even you type the keywords without 's', Google will only show the website with 's'. Bear with my poor English, I hope you understand what I am talking about.
- today I pick the keyword "natural cures for acid reflux" for my post, 70 count/day, constant searches in Google trends, and around 10,000 results in Google with quotes, 3 pages of adsense in Google's SERP too. I think it is a good keyword, what do you think?
